Job Description

Senior Enterprise Architect

United Kingdom - 2 days on-site per week

12 Month Daily Rate Contract

Outside IR35

Realtime has partnered exclusively with a digital services client that is currently engaged in an exciting greenfield project that will affect millions of UK households. As a result, we are now looking to speak with experienced Enterprise Architects who can define and govern the enterprise and target state architecture, ensuring the programme solutions, integrations and technology decisions are secure, scalable and aligned to architecture principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Set out, maintain and communicate the current, transitional and target architectures across the business, application, data, integration, technology and security domains.
  • Apply core enterprise architecture principles: user-centred design, cloud-first with a preference for SaaS, API-led integration, open standards, reuse, configuration over customisation, and secure, resilient design.
  • Advise solution architects and suppliers to ensure designs fit together across Core ERP, the Data Platform, Cloud, CRM, ServiceNow, logistics and other connected services.
  • Lead or support Architecture Design Authority reviews, evaluate significant design decisions and exceptions.
  • Make sure integrations, information flows, identity, access, environments, resilience, non-functional requirements and operational support are designed end to end rather than in isolation.
  • Contribute architectural expertise to discovery, procurement, due diligence, supplier selection, statements of work and delivery assurance.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Data, Operations, Cyber, Product and programme leadership to settle cross-domain decisions, and put clear options and recommendations to governance forums.

Experience Required:

  • 10-15 years' experience in the Architecture domain
  • Proven experience at principal level in enterprise architecture, working across complex, multi-platform and multi-supplier environments.
  • Proven experience across business, application, data, integration, cloud, security and service architecture, with the ability to join up domain-level decisions into a coherent end-to-end design.
  • Track record of governing architecture through design authorities, standards, roadmaps, decision records, exceptions and supplier assurance.
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments
  • Hands-on experience with Azure ecosystems, PaaS platforms, API-led integration, data platforms, ERP and service management solutions.
  • A recognised architecture certification such as TOGAF, or equivalent practical experience.
