What you will be doing

This is an exciting time to join Breathe. Having proven the value of our products in both the automotive and consumer electronics spaces, we are scaling our testing and validation services.
Working closely with our Co-Founders and the Head of Testing, you will grow testing and validation services from Breathe’s London laboratory.

Behind our physics-based models sit a high-throughput parameterisation pipeline and an automotive-standard battery laboratory in London, running Breathe and customer programmes to qualify our products. Services include characterisation, validation and safety testing across cell development, cell qualification and product validation.

Your day to day

• Lead technical discovery with customer engineering teams: the development programme they are running, the decision in front of them, and the data that would answer it

• Translate that into a scoped test and validation programme, and present the method and rationale to an engineering audience

• Work with the Head of Testing to set out method, scope, exclusions, timelines and deliverables in proposals, quotes and statements of work

• Analyse the market: segments, pricing, competitors and customers’ in-house capability

• Build and maintain qualified pipeline against available capacity

Your background

• Working knowledge of cell characterisation, cell safety testing and teardown analysis, including what each involves to run as a service

• Technical sales or business development background in contract testing, contract research or engineering services, preferably within the automotive or battery space

• Experience running technical discovery with engineering customers and converting it into scoped programmes with defined deliverables

• Degree or similar within Engineering

• Familiarity with OEM and cell supplier qualification routes and supplier quality audits

• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 is advantageous

• Ability to work cross functionally in a kind and conscientious manner

• Adaptability in an innovative and rapidly scaling environment, ideally from a start up or similar
