Job description

ABOUT PLUSONE BIO
PlusOne Bio is a U.S. subsidiary of Pluslife, focused on developing and commercializing molecular diagnostic opportunities in the United States. We combine Pluslife's molecular diagnostics platform and product capabilities with an entrepreneurial, locally focused approach to identifying and building new U.S. market opportunities.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a curious, entrepreneurial, and highly adaptable Business Development Associate to help build PlusOne Bio's U.S. business.

This is not a traditional sales role with a mature territory, fixed customer list, and established playbook. You will explore where molecular point-of-care testing can create value across different clinical applications, care settings, and customer segments, validate opportunities with real customers, and help turn the strongest opportunities into qualified commercial pipeline.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Explore new markets and use cases for molecular point-of-care testing and develop testable market hypotheses.
  • Validate opportunities through market research and conversations with clinicians, laboratory professionals, healthcare operators, potential customers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify and prioritize target accounts and map relevant decision-makers and influencers.
  • Conduct customer discovery to understand current diagnostic workflows, unmet needs, alternatives, adoption barriers, and decision processes.
  • Develop promising customer conversations into well-defined commercial opportunities with clear needs, evidence, stakeholders, barriers, and next steps.
  • Capture market insight and customer feedback to help refine PlusOne Bio's U.S. commercial priorities.
  • Maintain disciplined account, opportunity, CRM, and follow-up management.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You will likely thrive in this role if you:

  • Have an entrepreneurial mindset and enjoy building rather than simply executing an established process.
  • Are comfortable with ambiguity, changing priorities, and learning through experimentation.
  • Take ownership and move from research to action without waiting for detailed instructions.
  • Are resourceful, curious, persistent, and willing to challenge your own assumptions.
  • Can learn scientific and technical concepts quickly and communicate them clearly.
  • Enjoy customer discovery and can build credible relationships with different healthcare stakeholders.
  • Combine flexibility with strong organization, follow-through, and execution discipline.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong research, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn molecular diagnostics and healthcare workflows quickly.
  • Confidence engaging new customers and developing professional relationships.
  • Relevant experience or education in molecular diagnostics, IVD, point-of-care testing, biotechnology, healthcare, medical devices, business development, or market development is preferred but not required.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Success is not measured simply by calls or emails. You will help turn technology capabilities into market hypotheses, customer evidence, validated needs, target accounts, and qualified commercial opportunities, while continuously improving PlusOne Bio's understanding of the U.S. market.

If you are looking for a predetermined territory and mature sales playbook, this may not be the right role. If you are excited to explore, learn, build, adapt, and take increasing ownership as the U.S. business develops, we'd like to hear from you.
