Cameron Chisholm Nicol is seeking an experienced Architect to join its Perth-based architecture and interior design studio. The successful applicant will contribute to the design, documentation and delivery of high-quality residential, multi-residential and mixed-use project. This is a senior project-based role for an architect with demonstrated experience leading design packages, coordinating multidisciplinary consultants and progressing projects from concept design through to construction documentation and delivery. The role is aligned with the Architect occupation and requires a minimum of 6 years' relevant post-qualification experience.
Key responsibilities- Lead and contribute to architectural design from concept through to detailed design, documentation and delivery.
- Prepare and coordinate planning, tender and construction documentation, including drawings, schedules and technical details.
- Coordinate architectural solutions with structural, mechanical, services and other specialist consultants.
- Attend and contribute to client, consultant, authority and project meetings; document actions and manage design follow-up.
- Assist with design coordination, project programming and delivery across residential and mixed-use projects.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and relevant authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide guidance, task allocation and design/documentation support to junior architectural staff, where required.
- Maintain high standards of design quality, technical resolution and project documentation.
- Recognised tertiary qualification in Architecture.
- Eligibility for registration as an Architect in Australia, or equivalent overseas professional registration.
- At least 6 years' post-qualification experience in architectural practice.
- Substantial experience on multi-residential, mixed-use and/or high-end residential projects.
- Demonstrated experience working across project stages from concept design through to construction documentation and project delivery.
- Experience coordinating structural, mechanical and other specialist consultants.
- Demonstrated capability in client, consultant, contractor and authority liaison.
- Strong architectural design and technical documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with ArchiCAD, Enscape, SketchUp and/or Rhinoceros will be highly regarded.
