Mortgage Consultant

Originate residential consumer loans from application through closing while following bank policies and regulatory requirements. Build referral relationships with real estate brokers, builders, branches and other community contacts; maintain communication with borrowers and loan partners, submit complete loan files, coordinate with processors, and identify appropriate cross-selling opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Originate residential consumer loans in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Develop referrals and loan opportunities through relationships with brokers, builders and other community contacts.
• Follow up on branch referrals and maintain relationships with internal referral sources.
• Submit accurate, complete loan applications and supporting documentation using applicable lending technology.
• Maintain regular communication with borrowers, brokers and others involved in each application.
• Coordinate with processors, attend mortgage closings and refer additional bank products when appropriate.
