Role: Cyber Security Architect

Location: Garland, TX , McKinney, TX

Contract: 12-24 Months

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement, and govern enterprise security architectures across cloud, infrastructure, applications, networks, and data environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing security strategies, conducting architecture reviews, identifying risks, and implementing security controls aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise cybersecurity architecture, security frameworks, and technical security solutions.
• Define security architecture standards, patterns, principles, and technology roadmaps.
• Perform security architecture reviews for applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms, APIs, and enterprise solutions.
• Identify security risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies and security controls.
• Design security solutions across network, endpoint, identity, application, data, and cloud environments.
• Develop and enforce Zero Trust security architecture and defense-in-depth strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, cloud, application development, DevOps, and risk teams.
• Evaluate security technologies and provide recommendations for enterprise security tools and platforms.
• Support threat modeling, vulnerability management, penetration testing, and security assessments.
• Ensure solutions comply with organizational security policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Develop architecture documentation, security diagrams, standards, procedures, and technical guidelines.
• Provide technical leadership during security incidents and support remediation activities when required.
• Review and improve IAM, PAM, encryption, network security, SIEM, DLP, EDR/XDR, and cloud security capabilities.
• Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Cybersecurity / Information Security, with significant experience in security architecture.
• Strong understanding of Enterprise Security Architecture and security design principles.
• Hands-on experience with Cloud Security, preferably AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, SSO, MFA, PAM, RBAC, and Zero Trust.
• Experience with network security, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, WAF, proxies, and secure network architecture.
• Knowledge of application security, API security, DevSecOps, and secure SDLC.
• Experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, DLP, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.
• Strong understanding of encryption, PKI, certificates, key management, and data protection.
• Experience performing threat modeling and security risk assessments.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and Zero Trust Architecture.
• Excellent communication, documentation, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
