iSeries-AS/400 RPG Programmer

Resource 1 is seeking an iSeries-AS/400 RPG programmer for a 12+ month contract position. Our client is based in Dubuqe, IA and while local candidates are preferred, remote candidates will be considered. Regardless of location, selected individual will be expected to work onsite in Dubuque for the first 1-2 weeks of the project. If local, candidate will be expected to work onsite 3 days/week for the duration of the project. Will be responsible for modifying and enhancing RPG applications in a MAPICS manufacturing environment. Ideally, we are looking for someone with a mix of new and old RPG skills (RPG ILE/IV/Free). However, most of the coding will be in RPG-Free.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• iSeries AS/400
• RPG ILE (Service Programs)
• RPG-Free
• RPG IV
• Embedded SQL  
• Development experience in a manufacturing environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• MAPICS software development.
• Experience working in a Window and Door manufacturing environment.
