Job description

Develop and deploy data-driven software and process improvements for BPX Energy's US onshore operations. Partner with engineering, operations, optimization, and technology teams to build production applications, enterprise systems, and reporting tools using Python, SQL, cloud platforms, and modern software development practices.

Responsibilities

  • Identify operational improvement opportunities with Operations, Optimization, Interventions, and other teams.
  • Design, develop, and deploy applications using Python, SQL, Snowflake, and AWS.
  • Apply software development practices including version control, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
  • Collaborate with Technology and Production teams as a product owner to implement and support in-house solutions.
  • Help develop and maintain enterprise systems and standards.
  • Build reporting tools and dashboards using Power BI, Streamlit, or other Python web frameworks, and apply AI tools and agents to analysis.
