A fast-growing insurance and financial services organization is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join its technology team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to build modern enterprise software solutions using C#, .NET, React, cloud technologies, and AI-assisted development platforms. This is a Hybrid position, in office Tuesday-Thursday in the south Chicago suburbs. Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of professional software development experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
Advanced experience with C# and .NET technologies
Strong front-end development experience with React
Proven experience leading technical projects or owning application delivery from requirements through deployment
Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions with minimal oversight
Experience making architectural and implementation decisions independently
Experience with Git source control and collaborative development processes
Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
Experience working within Agile development environments
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Desired Skills & Experience
Microsoft Azure or AWS experience
Containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
SQL Server development, optimization, and performance tuning
RESTful API design and development
Event-driven architectures and distributed systems experience
Experience serving as a technical lead or primary owner for software initiatives
Experience partnering directly with business stakeholders to define requirements and drive solution delivery
Experience with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, or similar AI development tools
Legacy modernization and application migration experience

What You Will Be Doing
Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise software applications
Own the end-to-end delivery of software solutions from business requirements through implementation and deployment
Lead implementation efforts for complex business initiatives
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, gather requirements, and translate them into scalable technical solutions
Drive architecture and implementation decisions while identifying risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement
Participate in architectural planning and technical design sessions
Review code and mentor junior developers
Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and delivery speed
Validate AI-generated code for security, maintainability, and performance
Build automated testing strategies across multiple applications
Support production applications and resolve technical issues
Improve application scalability, security, and reliability
