Job Description

Oracle Data Engineer

Introduction:

We are currently seeking a skilled Oracle Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Oracle SQL/PLSQL, ETL, data warehousing, database engineering, query optimization, and performance tuning. This individual will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our data systems while providing production support as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Oracle SQL/PLSQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Design and implement ETL processes for efficient data warehousing.
  • Optimize queries and fine-tune database performance for improved efficiency.
  • Implement indexing and partitioning strategies to enhance data retrieval.
  • Utilize Unix/Linux and Bash scripting for automation and process improvement.
  • Work with Control-M or Autosys for job scheduling and monitoring.
  • Provide L2/L3 production support to ensure data availability and reliability.
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation to maintain data integrity.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement Git and CI/CD practices for continuous delivery.
  • Experience with Snowflake or DBT is a plus.
  • Preferred experience in banking or regulated environments.

Requirements:

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL/PLSQL.
  • Experience with ETL and data warehousing concepts.
  • Knowledge of Oracle database engineering.
  • Ability to optimize queries and tune database performance.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux and Bash scripting.
  • Experience with Control-M or Autosys for job scheduling.
  • Ability to provide L2/L3 production support.
  • Skills in data validation and reconciliation.

Preferred Skills:
