Join a high-performing team supporting mission-critical government programs where your expertise will help safeguard some of the nation's most sensitive networks, systems, and information assets.

As an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE), you will serve as a trusted cyber security advisor, working alongside government stakeholders, engineers, and mission partners to architect, assess, and strengthen enterprise security solutions. This is an opportunity to influence security strategy, lead RMF efforts, and help ensure compliance across complex, evolving environments. If you're passionate about cyber defense, security engineering, risk management, and protecting mission-essential capabilities, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do As an ISSE, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls that support mission success. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide expert cyber security guidance and technical recommendations to government customers.
  • Lead the identification, analysis, and documentation of security requirements throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Participate in network architecture reviews, security assessments, and testing activities to validate compliance and strengthen security posture.
  • Collaborate closely with system administrators, developers, engineers, and program stakeholders to ensure security requirements are integrated into system designs.
  • Identify and mitigate risks through the implementation of RMF controls and industry best practices.
  • Assess new hardware, software, and technologies, providing actionable recommendations to improve security and operational effectiveness.
  • Review and validate System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs), and related cybersecurity documentation.
  • Guide system owners through Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities and support successful accreditation efforts.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. Requirements To be considered, candidates must possess:
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current CI Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) or an advanced Information Assurance certification
  • Current DoD 8570-compliant certification in IAT or IAM
  • Experience in security systems engineering across diverse computing environments, including standalone, LAN, and WAN architectures
  • Experience implementing and assessing security controls aligned with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST 800-53
  • Working knowledge of NIST guidance, DISA STIGs, and USCYBERCOM security requirements
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and reviewing cybersecurity accreditation documentation
  • Experience with system hardening, vulnerability management, operating system security configuration, and account management best practices
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and enterprise security architectures

Preferred Qualifications Candidates with the following experience will stand out:

  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity programs
  • Knowledge of Splunk
  • Familiarity with cloud security concepts and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience using cybersecurity assessment and vulnerability management tools such as ACAS, HBSS, EVSS, Retina, or similar technologies
  • Experience with XACTA and cybersecurity compliance workflows
  • Familiarity with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)
  • Experience briefing senior government leaders and stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical and program teams
