Job Description

Join our client's team as a Support Project/Commercial Executive, where you will play a key role in driving financial performance, profitability, and commercial success. This position is ideally suited to a highly numerate professional with strong analytical skills and proven experience in preparing cost models, pricing task orders, managing budgets, and producing accurate financial forecasts and a final invoice for customer submission.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed costings for task orders, analysing commercial performance, and ensuring all financial data supports informed business decisions. Working closely with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, you will use a data-driven approach to maximise margins, control costs, and deliver commercial value across multiple projects.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Task Order Costing & Pricing: Prepare detailed costings and pricing models for task orders, ensuring accuracy, profitability, and alignment with contractual requirements.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Produce and manage monthly commercial reports, analysing revenue, costs, margins, and financial performance.
  • Commercial Forecasting: Develop detailed financial forecasts, track project expenditure, and identify risks and opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings and commercial discussions, presenting pricing proposals and commercial solutions with confidence.
  • Commercial Control: Monitor budgets, track costs against forecasts, and provide recommendations to improve financial efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as a key point of contact for clients, suppliers, project teams, and internal stakeholders on all commercial matters.
  • Contract Compliance: Ensure customer contracts are managed effectively and all commercial obligations are met.
  • Supplier & Purchase Order Management: Manage supplier costs, purchase orders, and commercial relationships to achieve best value.
  • Stock & Material Control: Oversee material allocation and ordering, ensuring commercial efficiency and cost control.
  • Business Support: Support business growth initiatives by providing commercial insight, financial analysis, and problem-solving expertise.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, with minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Strong numerical and analytical capabilities with a high level of commercial awareness.
  • Proven experience in costing, pricing, financial forecasting, budgeting, and commercial reporting.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse financial data to support decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
