Mechanical (HVAC) Engineering Designer (HVAC / Revit) in Austell, GA

Position: Mechanical Engineering Designer (HVAC / Revit)
Location: Austell, GA
Employment Type: [Full-Time / Direct Hire]

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyze HVAC systems for commercial and educational facilities.
  • Meet with clients to understand project requirements and preferences.
  • Conduct pre-design site visits and surveys to evaluate existing conditions.
  • Prepare preliminary and detailed mechanical/HVAC drawings.
  • Develop contract documents, including calculations, schematics, details, and construction drawings.
  • Ensure designs comply with local and national building codes and company standards.
  • Review contractor submittals for conformance with design documents.
  • Conduct site observations as experience develops.
  • Support the design of plumbing and fire safety systems as needed.
  • Work under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer (P.E.), providing an opportunity for professional development and PE registration.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2–4 years of HVAC design experience.
  • Proficiency with Revit.
  • Experience with commercial/building HVAC design preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes and HVAC standards.
  • EIT certification is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.
