Job Description:
Introduction: As a Data Security / Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of data within cloud environments. You will work closely with platform, infrastructure, and application teams to design and implement secure data solutions. Additionally, you will be involved in developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, optimizing data workflows, and integrating API solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with platform, infrastructure, and application teams to understand architectural requirements and drive successful solution delivery.
- Analyze existing ETL/ELT workflows and develop enhancements or new solutions as required.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for batch processing and real-time/streaming processing.
- Develop solutions using Python and implement API integrations using REST APIs, JSON payloads, and XML payloads.
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitLab, or similar tools.
- Incorporate security considerations into data integration, application, and platform solutions.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure appropriate authentication, authorization, and access controls are incorporated into solution designs.
Requirements:
Required Skills:
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to develop and maintain complex SQL queries and data transformations.
- Knowledge of DevOps best practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of data security principles and best practices.
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to Java, .NET, or other object-oriented programming languages.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud, data, or integration platforms.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and requirement-gathering capabilities.
- Ability to confidently interact with application teams and business stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Self-driven, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.
