Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Snowflake Data Architect (MDM) to lead the strategic design and execution of an enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) program. This role will serve as the architectural authority responsible for establishing a scalable "single source of truth" across critical business domains while maximizing the value of the organization's Snowflake data platform.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in Snowflake architecture, data warehousing, and data governance with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable technical roadmaps. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, analytics teams, and technology leaders to drive enterprise data strategy, optimize platform performance, and mentor development teams responsible for execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the long-term architecture strategy for enterprise Master Data Management within the Snowflake ecosystem.
• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models, including Star and Snowflake schemas that support enterprise reporting and analytics.
• Partner with business, analytics, and technology teams to gather requirements and translate strategic objectives into scalable technical solutions.
• Create and manage architectural roadmaps, implementation plans, and prioritized development backlogs for MDM initiatives.
• Establish and maintain enterprise data governance, security, and access control frameworks, including RBAC and data masking strategies.
• Oversee Snowflake platform performance, optimization, scalability, and operational reliability.
• Lead integration efforts across the analytics ecosystem, including Snowflake, Python-based automation solutions, BI platforms, and enterprise data sources.
• Serve as the highest-level escalation point for complex data architecture, platform, and integration challenges.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance to data engineers, developers, and analytics teams.

Key Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data warehousing, or enterprise data management roles.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience designing and supporting Snowflake or comparable cloud-based data platforms.
• Expert-level knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM), data governance, data quality frameworks, and enterprise data architecture principles.
• Extensive experience designing dimensional data models, including Star and Snowflake schemas, for large-scale analytics environments.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for developing scalable data engineering solutions, automation workflows, and data pipelines.
• Strong experience implementing Snowflake security controls, including Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), data masking, and governance best practices.
• Experience integrating enterprise systems and data sources, including CRM platforms such as Salesforce and other operational applications.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based analytics architectures, business intelligence platforms, and enterprise reporting environments.
• Demonstrated ability to develop technical roadmaps and align data strategy with broader business objectives.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with experience influencing executives, business leaders, and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related discipline.
• Advanced expertise with Tableau or similar business intelligence and visualization platforms.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale analytics, retail services, customer data, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with data privacy, compliance, and regulatory requirements in highly governed environments.
• Experience leading cross-functional architecture teams and mentoring junior to mid-level developers and engineers.
• Relevant cloud, data, or architecture certifications are a plus.
