The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to safely and efficiently move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks. • Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate container moves and daily tasks with yard personnel and supervisors. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs. • Willingness and availability to work flexible schedules, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. • Previous experience operating heavy machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
