The Role

• Collaborate with finance directors and the accounting department to ensure accurate and timely recording of journal entries and other transactions.
• Act as a primary resource for accountants, providing guidance and training on transaction recording and company policies.
• Oversee daily accounting tasks for assigned communities, stepping in when on-site accountants are unavailable.
• Prepare daily cash account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Identify and resolve accounting issues, implementing processes and controls to prevent recurrence.
• Assist in the preparation of month-end, quarterly, and annual reports, as well as consolidation and other reporting tasks.
• Support budget, forecasting, and audit processes as needed.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of five years of accounting experience, or a combination of education and experience.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP.
