JOB TITLE:  AWS CLOUD AND AI ENGINEER

TYPE:  Contractor W2 - Salaried


 

 Location: Bethesda, MD (This position is hybrid, working onsite in the Bethesda, Maryland office 2 days per week and 3 days per week from your home office)

 

Contract Length: 6 Months with the possibility of an extension

 

Pay: $140,000 - $155,000 (Based on candidates’ experience level)

 

Mindbank Consulting Group has an immediate need for an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer with AI exposure to bridge traditional cloud engineering and modern AI operations and to provide expertise for a federal contract consisting of a large eco-system of highly integrated applications.

 

AWS Cloud and AI Engineer Responsibilities:

 

·       Design, build, and standardize the AWS implementation for a large eco-system of applications for federal contract that is looking to re-imagine their applications on AWS.

·       Generative AI/RAG pipeline support by collaborating with AI teams to integrate models, build scalable vector databases using AWS services such as Amazon Bedrock and OpenSearch.

 

AWS Cloud and AI Engineer Qualifications:

 

Required Qualifications:

 

·       Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

·       3 – 5 years’ experience with a combination of AWS related roles such as working as an AWS Developer and AWS Architect.

·       Experience with building applications within AWS using a hybrid approach of new and legacy components (e.g., new front-end/services with legacy databases or other mix-and-match approaches) to best fit budget/scope/timeline constraints.

·       Capable of establishing infrastructure using scripts, adhering to best practices, and incorporating AWS suggested templates for compliance with standards like NIST 800-53 and HIPAA.

·       Be proficient in setting up a functional model for seamless script promotion (CI/CD pipeline) from development to test, UAT, and production.

·       Experience migrating/converting data from legacy applications to a new target application environment.

·       Experience using discovery tools to define and develop customer requirements and pricing models.

·       Designed stacks using Amazon CloudFormation templates to launch AWS infrastructure and resources.

·       Proficiency in Python, LangChain and terraform scripting for automation tasks.

·       Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for managing scalable services and endpoints.

·       Solid understanding of data modelling fundamentals.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

·      AWS certifications, such as AWS Developer and AWS Architect

·      Similar experience with migrating on-premises applications to AWS

·      Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in cross-functional product teams.
