Job Description
Gallo Mechanical Services is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our expanding team of HVAC and plumbing technicians in the delivery of commercial service work. This is a field-based leadership position requiring regular on-site presence to oversee work quality, guide technician performance, and ensure adherence to company and customer standards. The Service Manager serves as a primary point of contact for customers, vendors, and suppliers, representing Gallo Mechanical Services with professionalism and ensuring clear, accurate communication throughout each engagement. This role plays a key part in sustaining customer satisfaction and supporting continued growth within the branch.
Responsibilities Include
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of technicians
- Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable for performance
- Partner with the Branch Manager on staffing, customer needs, and day-to-day operations
- Ensure technicians deliver work that meets customer and company standards
- Resolve issues proactively to keep customers satisfied
- Handle hiring, onboarding, training, and performance reviews for your team
- Keep the team current on the latest service techniques and safety practices
- Maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in plumbing/HVAC service, commercial construction, or a related trade
- Leadership experience preferred
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some nights, weekends, and holidays
- Solid understanding of commercial HVAC and plumbing principles
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and lead a diverse team
- Comfortable using standard business software and dispatch/ERP tools
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree a plus
