There are two primary platforms within the organization:
- Tooling Platform
- Software Development Kit (SDK) Platform
As a result, there is a need for Systems Engineers to support each platform area. This is a client facing position, therefore must have excellent communication.
Position: System Engineer
- Collaborate with systems engineering, product, and global partners to design and implement software solutions for a service platform (Tools and SDK), ensuring reliability, scalability, and high performance.
- Develop, integrate, and maintain system-level software components with a strong focus on C++ and embedded firmware for real-time and Linux-based automotive systems.
- Implement and enhance middleware components, inter-process communication frameworks, and scheduling systems to support hardware-agnostic, update-friendly vehicle services across multiple in-vehicle domains.
- Drive and support the development of system design specifications, including state machines and sequence diagrams, and create testable system requirements.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software and system-level issues in collaboration with quality and integration engineers.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience creating detailed system and software-level requirements for complex products.
- Experience with MBSE and associated tools (CATIA and StrictDoc required) for creating and documenting system and software architectures using SysML and UML.
- Experience with safety-critical or fault-tolerant automotive software (ISO 26262, AUTOSAR).
- Strong understanding of vehicle networking, including ADAS and cockpit architecture, ECU architecture, and validation of distributed vehicle software features.
- Strong Python and C++ skills with a heavy emphasis on Python
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), containerization, and DevOps tooling.
- Proficiency with modern build systems and CI/CD environments (e.g., Bazel, GitHub/GitLab) and familiarity with software production pipelines for software delivery and integration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading software projects and/or small teams.
- Experience with embedded software in robotics, automotive, or related industries.
- Experience creating test, verification, or validation plans and methodologies.
- Knowledge of automotive and embedded system interfaces/protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, and SERDES.
