Electrical Engineer

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Electrical Engineer for a Remote position with a Global Engineering and Consulting Firm. This is a 7+ month contract opportunity.

In this role, you will contribute to the engineering, design, and construction of data centers and other mission-critical facilities. You will be responsible for the design of facility power distribution systems, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low voltage communications systems in complex industrial facilities. This position involves working closely with a broader multi-discipline team in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents.

Responsibilities:

• Provide design work, contribute to team technical collaboration, and perform quality reviews of design packages
• Assist directly with other portions of the design process
• Interact directly with the client, owner, and contractors to assist construction on site
• Engineer and design for data center facility power distribution systems, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low voltage communications systems
• Design may also include retrofit of existing building systems
• Manage quality, scope, budget, and schedule

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• At least 6 years of experience in engineering design of medium and low voltage distribution systems, building electrical systems, and campus-style power distribution
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with industrial facility design
• Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
• Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Good computer literacy
• Willingness to learn and embrace new challenges
• Ability to lead a team of Electrical Engineers
• Experience with Data Center or AI Factory projects

• At least 3 years of data center facility design experience
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
• Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
• Passionate about buildings and construction
• Experience in the design of large projects established on greenfield sites

Pay range: up to $90.44 per hour
