Job Description

Summary

Our client is seeking a driven, independent Participant Manager to lead the acquisition and outreach of prospective participants for their Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC). This role is responsible for executing multi-channel outreach campaigns to recruit small-to-medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and students, translating the core vision of the AMC into relatable messaging, and designing compliant candidate assessment processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-channel outreach and recruitment strategies to secure small-to-medium-sized business (SMB) and student participants for the AMC.

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify optimal channels for reaching eligible SMBs and students.

  • Plan, execute, and facilitate social media outreach alongside other inquiry-generating activities.

  • Translate the core vision of the AMC into compelling, relatable messaging and clearly communicate benefits to potential participants.

  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams to design and implement candidate assessment processes aligned with organizational policy.

  • Plan and coordinate venues, resources, and logistics for business conventions and events.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven experience in implementing high-impact, successful promotion and outreach programs targeting SMBs, start-ups, and students.

  • Deep passion for supporting and developing SMBs and startup ecosystems.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while thriving in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.

  • Highly collaborative and results-focused with a strong work ethic and high integrity.

  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills to measure outreach effectiveness.

  • Experience in planning and scheduling venues and resources for professional business conventions.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent relevant industry experience (startup or SMB background preferred).

Location: Houston, TX (On-site)

Duration: 6-Month Contract (with potential extension)

Pay Rate: $42 - $57 / hour (DOE)
