Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Java Developer with 5+ years of professional experience to support enterprise-scale applications in the financial services domain.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java 17, Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular and/or React, REST APIs, Kafka/MQ, SQL, automated testing, BDD/TDD, and CI/CD. Experience building scalable, secure, and highly available distributed systems is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java and modern web technologies.

• Develop and enhance microservices using Java 17 and Spring Boot.

• Build responsive front-end applications using Angular and/or React.

• Design and consume RESTful APIs and maintain API documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger.

• Develop event-driven applications and integrations using Kafka and/or MQ.

• Implement automated testing using JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber, and Playwright.

• Apply BDD and TDD practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Work with SQL and relational databases to develop efficient data-access solutions.

• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architectural initiatives.

• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to application performance and reliability improvements.

• Collaborate with product managers, architects, business stakeholders, operations teams, and engineering teams.

• Contribute to application modernization and cloud initiatives.

• Explore and implement AI-assisted development and AI-enabled capabilities where appropriate.

• Follow established CI/CD practices using Git, Jenkins, Maven, and related development tools.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Full-Stack Java development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 17 and Spring Boot.

• Experience developing microservices and distributed applications.

• Experience with Angular and/or React.

• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger.

• Practical experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber, and/or Playwright.

• Experience with BDD and TDD methodologies.

• Experience with Kafka and/or MQ.

• Strong SQL and relational database experience.

• Experience with Git, Jenkins, Maven, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Financial services, securities, asset servicing, or custody domain experience.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with AWS and/or Azure.

• Experience integrating applications with generative AI platforms or APIs.

• Experience with workflow engines.

• Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise applications.
