SAP IS-U Solution Architect / Senior Manager

A leading utilities organization is seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Solution Architect / Senior Manager to lead enterprise-scale customer-to-cash transformation initiatives. This role will be responsible for defining solution architecture, guiding delivery teams, engaging business stakeholders, and driving modernization across utility customer operations.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP Utilities and a strong understanding of utility billing, customer service, metering, device management, and revenue processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP IS-U solution architecture and strategic roadmap initiatives.
• Partner with business leaders to design and optimize utility customer operations.
• Drive implementation and enhancement projects across SAP IS-U modules.
• Provide architectural guidance for integrations with SAP and non-SAP applications.
• Lead solution design workshops and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Mentor functional and technical teams while ensuring adherence to architecture standards.
• Support digital transformation, process automation, and modernization initiatives.
• Collaborate with program leadership, vendors, and executive stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of SAP Utilities (IS-U) experience with progression into Solution Architect, Lead Consultant, or Manager-level responsibilities.
• Strong expertise in multiple SAP IS-U modules, including:
  • Customer Care & Services (CCS)
  • Billing & Invoicing
  • Contract Accounts Receivable & Payable (FICA/FI-CA)
  • Device Management
  • Meter-to-Cash Processes
  • Meter Reading
  • Service Orders
  • Move-In / Move-Out
  • Collections & Credit Management
• Experience leading large-scale SAP IS-U implementations, upgrades, or transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of utility business processes across electric, gas, water, or energy providers.
• Experience integrating SAP IS-U with SAP S/4HANA, SAP CRM, CIS platforms, AMI, MDMS, or other utility technologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP IS-U Solution Architect experience within regulated utility environments.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Utilities transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of cloud and digital transformation programs.
• Previous consulting, program leadership, or people management experience.
