Senior DevOps Engineer – AWS/Kubernetes/GitHub Actions

Introduction:

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in DevOps, CI/CD, AWS, Kubernetes, and automation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing cloud infrastructure, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and optimizing Kubernetes environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain enterprise-grade GitHub Actions CI/CD workflows
• Build reusable workflows and custom GitHub Actions
• Manage production AWS EKS/Kubernetes environments
• Perform Kubernetes upgrades, troubleshooting, scaling, and maintenance
• Develop and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure
• Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using Python/Bash
• Implement GitOps deployment processes using ArgoCD or Flux
• Manage Docker builds and AWS ECR
• Implement AWS security and access controls using IAM, OIDC, and IRSA
• Optimize Kubernetes infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and cost

Requirements:

• Must be local to Chicago, IL 60661 or Irving, TX
• Must be available for 3 days onsite
• Must be willing to attend an in-person interview
• Must have a LinkedIn profile
• 7+ years of relevant DevOps experience

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of professional DevOps / SRE / Cloud Infrastructure experience
• 3+ years of hands-on GitHub Actions, including developing and modularizing complex workflows
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS
• 3+ years of production Kubernetes / Amazon EKS
• Strong Terraform experience
• Strong scripting experience with Python or Bash
• Experience with Docker and Helm
• Strong CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code experience
• Production troubleshooting and automation experience
