Community Engagement Volunteer

What will the role look like?

By becoming a Community Engagement Volunteer, you can support one or more of our community groups across West Leeds. You might also be involved in volunteering at a community festival or event whilst promoting local health and wellbeing campaigns and connecting with community members to inform them of the groups that we deliver.

We are looking for someone who is..

• Approachable, personable and friendly

• Non-judgemental, respectful and respects people’s confidentiality

• Has the ability to connect and listen to people, whilst showing empathy

• Open to learning and is enthusiastic about trying new things

• Willing to attend policy training

If you would like to find out more about the types of community groups you could get involved with and the hours available before completing the application form, please contact Claire Roberts (click on Claire's name below for contact details).

If you find you have any problems with our application process or you think we’re not meeting your accessibility requirements, please email recruitment@barca-leeds.org

Barca-Leeds is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults. It is the organisation’s policy to require the successful applicant to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Check at a level appropriate to the role, before appointment is confirmed. The disclosure of a criminal conviction will not necessarily exclude applicants from volunteering with us.
