Client
One of the world's leading investment firms is continuing to expand its systematic and high-frequency trading capabilities. Technology is central to the business, supporting systematic Portfolio Managers and Researchers across multiple asset classes and strategies.
You'll be exposed to all aspects of systematic investing, with significant project ownership and the opportunity to work on a major build-out of the firm's HFT trading and research infrastructure.
Role
They're looking for an exceptional Python Quant Developer to join a small, highly technical engineering team, working directly with systematic Portfolio Managers and Quant Researchers.
You'll build and evolve infrastructure across the full quantitative research and trading lifecycle, with current projects spanning intraday signal research, mid- and high-frequency trading, market data, feature extraction, exchange simulation and production trading systems.
The environment is highly collaborative and business-facing, with engineers expected to understand the quantitative research process, identify high-impact solutions and take genuine ownership of systems in production.

Requirements
- 3+ years' development experience in systematic trading, HFT or a similar quantitative environment
- Excellent Python development skills; C++ experience is beneficial
- Strong understanding of Linux and production systems
- Understanding of the quantitative research and trading lifecycle
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or another quantitative discipline
- Motivated self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Desirable
- HFT / low-latency trading experience
- Market data, order entry or exchange simulation experience
- HPC / distributed compute infrastructure
- C++ and/or low-level systems knowledge
