About the role:

The Western Health Central Sterilisation and Supply Department's (CSSD), Footscray has a vacancy for a qualified Instrument Technician with a minimum of 2 years' experience to join our team. Grading will be in accordance with the EBA.

The CSSD supports and provides a high standard of Sterilisation services to the Operating Suite, Endoscopy Unit and other internal departments.

• Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilising of reusable medical devices in accordance with national standards and hospital policies
• Understand and apply the principles of sterilisation, disinfection and tracking in the CSSD environment
• Navigate the tracking system (Scancare) to support daily work requirements
• Understand and apply AS5369 to their daily work processes.

• Basic computer skills to support data input into the tracking system
• Able to work with minimal supervision and take direction from senior staff
