Job Description

Lead Engineer, Watford Full-Time | Permanent £55,000 - £62,500 + Car + Package

Are you a technically minded engineer with strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and a passion for leading people?

Were recruiting on behalf of an innovative, rapidly growing business for a Senior Lead Support Engineer to lead a team of Support Engineers while providing expert second-line technical support across a nationwide engineering operation.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a business at the forefront of technology, where youll play a key role in improving service performance, supporting field engineers, and driving innovation through digital tools and AI.

What Youll Be Doing

Leading and developing a team of Remote Support Engineers.

Providing expert remote fault diagnosis across mechanical and electrical equipment.

Supporting and coordinating field engineers to deliver fast, effective resolutions.

Developing and improving internal digital tools, dashboards and support processes.

Analysing service performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

What Were Looking For

Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience.

Previous experience in technical support, field service or engineering.

Leadership or mentoring experience, or someone ready to take the next step.

IT confident, with an interest in digital tools, automation and AI.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Experience with PLCs, sensors, motors or mechatronic equipment would be advantageous.
