Senior Workday HCM Analyst - Leave of Absence

Position Overview


We are seeking a Senior Workday HCM Analyst with strong hands-on experience in Workday Leave of Absence (LOA) configuration to support a large healthcare organization.


This role will focus on improving and optimizing existing Workday Leave of Absence functionality, including streamlining workflows, enhancing business processes, and strengthening connections between Leave of Absence, Benefits, and Compensation.


The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in Workday Core HCM and specialized expertise in Leave of Absence configuration. Experience supporting complex leave policies, particularly within a unionized workforce, is highly valued.


Key Responsibilities


Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday Leave of Absence functionality.


Evaluate existing LOA business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.


Design, build, test, and implement enhancements to Workday leave workflows and configurations.


Improve alignment between Leave of Absence, Benefits, Compensation, and Core HCM processes.


Partner with HR, Benefits, and HCM application teams to understand business requirements and implement solutions.


Troubleshoot configuration issues and support ongoing system improvements.


Provide guidance on Workday LOA functionality, configuration best practices, and process optimization.


Support complex leave requirements and policies across a diverse workforce.


Required Qualifications


Minimum 3 years of relevant Workday HCM experience, ideally 3-7 years.


Strong hands-on experience configuring and supporting Workday Leave of Absence.


Working knowledge of Workday Core HCM functionality and business processes.


Experience building, modifying, and optimizing Workday business processes.


Understanding of how Leave of Absence interacts with Benefits and Compensation.


Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.


Ability to work independently and collaborate with HR and technical stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications


Experience supporting Workday in a healthcare organization.


Experience with unionized workforces and complex leave policies.


Experience improving or redesigning existing Workday LOA configurations and workflows.


Work Arrangement


This position offers remote flexibility for candidates residing in approved U.S. states. Occasional onsite attendance may be required based on business needs; there is no fixed weekly onsite schedule.


Compensation


Target compensation is approximately $105,000-$110,000 annually, depending on qualifications and relevant experience.
