Job Description We are seeking a Cyber Security Project Engineer to ensure mission-critical systems achieve and maintain full security compliance. This role is essential for shepherding programs through the Sponsor's rigorous Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process, from initial design through to obtaining an Authority to Operate (ATO).
Primary Responsibilities • Shepherd projects through the A&A process, ensuring all ICD 503 documentation is completed and navigating complex stages to secure mission authorization. • Design and implement secure communication solutions, focusing on both cloud-hosted infrastructure for mobile/commercial applications and public cloud domains. • Address and mitigate system security controls, conducting risk assessments and developing strategies to resolve identified vulnerabilities. • Develop technical system diagrams and documentation, briefing both technical and non-technical stakeholders to secure operational approvals. • Oversee data integrity, ensuring the secure transfer and handling of sensitive mission data across diverse networks. • Triage and troubleshoot complex system issues to maintain continuous security posture and operational availability.
Required Skills Required Experience • Active TS/SCI w/ FSP Security Clearance (required for Sponsor mission) • Expertise in ICD 503 & A&A: Proven experience coordinating with multiple organizations to achieve and maintain ATO status. • Hands-on experience designing and implementing secure infrastructure within public cloud environments. • Demonstrated ability to develop system design diagrams and lead briefings for security approvals. • Strong background in addressing system security controls and managing sensitive data transfers. • Experience in technical triaging and resolving infrastructure-level issues.
