Senior Oracle DBA 

Long term contract
NYC -  Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days offsite
 

Overview:
Seeking a Senior Oracle DBA to manage and support enterprise Oracle RAC 19c environments on Exadata, including Data Guard DR, patching, performance tuning, security, and backups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer Oracle RAC 19c on Exadata + Data Guard (DR/Site B)
• Perform quarterly patching (Exadata, RAC, Data Guard) with Oracle Professional Services
• Manage Oracle Key Vault encryption, ASM, and Grid Infrastructure upgrades
• Handle DR testing/documentation, backups via Veeam
• Support batch jobs, system alerts, and 24x7 high availability
• Coordinate with Oracle/vendors on critical issues; follow change management & incident protocols
• Provide on-call support (after hours/weekends as needed)

Requirements:

• 8–10 yrs as Senior Oracle DBA (large-scale, Oracle Linux, Data Guard)
• Shell scripting, Perl, Python
• Strong Linux networking (TCP/IP, SSL, SFTP, SSH, Sendmail)
• Oracle WebLogic support experience
• Cloud migration experience (AWS/Azure/OCI) a plus
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and multitasking skills
