Senior Decision Scientist

Senior Decision Scientist | SME Lending Birmingham based office - Hybrid working I'm currently recruiting for a Senior Decision Scientist to join a growing financial services business, working at the forefront of SME lending and automated credit decisioning.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of the full model lifecycle from identifying the problem and building models through to deployment, monitoring and optimisation - while working closely with Data, Risk and Product teams.

What you'll be doing Develop and deploy ML and statistical models across credit risk, affordability and pricing<br />Own models end-to-end, including data, feature engineering, modelling, validation, deployment and monitoring<br />Build model monitoring frameworks and performance dashboards<br />Explore new data sources, challenger models and A/B testing to improve decisioning<br />Turn complex analysis into clear, commercially focused insights<br />Work closely with both technical and senior business stakeholders to influence lending strategy What I'm looking for Strong Machine Learning experience within SME lending or Consumer lending Strong Python and SQL skills<br />Proven experience taking models through the full development lifecycle<br />Background in FinTech, lending or automated decisioning<br />Good understanding of UK credit risk and regulatory requirements<br />Confident communicator who can bridge the gap between Data, Risk and Commercial teamsDesirable:

Consumer lending experience, model governance/monitoring experience, and a strong commercial mindset with genuine ownership.
