PCB Designer (Technician III Eng) | Shoreview, MN, United States | Hybrid | $78,000 - $105,000

The Role

  • Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to translate schematics into manufacturable PCB designs and documentation.
  • Apply practical skills in component placement, high-speed signal routing, and EMC prevention techniques.
  • Manage schematic and part data, creating and updating symbols, footprints, and part records.
  • Generate fabrication and assembly documentation, including Gerber files, BOMs, and drawings.
  • Perform design verification using tools like HyperLynx DRC and resolve routing issues.
  • Integrate 3D board models and ensure proper form, fit, and mechanical integration of PCAs.

What You'll Need

  • Minimum of an AA degree in Electronic Technology or a relevant Certificate, with 5+ years of experience; or a High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in PCB layout, stack-up design, impedance calculations, and high-speed routing.
  • Proficiency with CAD systems for PCB design.
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between physical layout and electrical performance, RF performance, and emissions.
  • Knowledge of multilayer PCB manufacturing processes and signal integrity concepts.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
