Google Cloud Platform Cloud Engineer

Position: Cloud Engineer (Google Cloud Platform)
Location: Remote

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) expertise to design, implement, and support enterprise cloud infrastructure. This role focuses on building secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a multi-cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Google Cloud Platform-based cloud architectures aligned with business and technical requirements
• Manage and support core Google Cloud Platform services including IAM, VPC, compute, storage, and security configurations
• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• Support cloud networking (IP addressing, subnetting, routing, firewall rules, hybrid connectivity)
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments for performance, availability, and cost efficiency
• Identify and mitigate security risks and ensure compliance with enterprise standards
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to deliver reliable and scalable cloud solutions
• Maintain documentation including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and operational procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide production support

Required Qualifications:

• Good experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure support.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) in enterprise environments
• Expertise in IAM, service accounts, and secure workload authentication
• Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPC, subnetting, routing, firewall rules)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar tools)
• Proficiency in scripting using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Experience supporting production environments (troubleshooting, incident management)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, OCI)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with monitoring tools (Google Cloud Platform Operations Suite, Azure Monitor, etc.)
• Knowledge of enterprise security and compliance standards
• Experience with tools like Databricks, AKS, or Data Factory
