Cloud Systems Engineer with Security Clearance

Shadowgate Partners is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer for our Client.

Key Responsibilities • Responsible for building and maintaining the cloud native system.

• Readily adapt to changing requirements; keep up-to-date on emerging technologies; and be ready to help implement these new products and technologies to enhance the system. Technical Requirements • Experience with Linux (Red Hat and CentOS desired)
• Enterprise Service – Active Directory, LDAP, DNS
• System security, hardening, and accreditation (e.g. DCID 6/3, ICD-503)
• Automated OS and cloud infrastructure installation
• Cloud virtualization
• Configuration and use of – nat, dns, ldap, nis, nfs, iptables, free ipa
• System performance monitoring, and tuning
• Performing, monitoring, and designing system backup plans
• Create, debug, and enhance scripts (e.g. bash, csh, Perl, ruby, python, expect)
• Automate repetitive tasks
• Basic knowledge of switching, routing, IP addressing, and networks
• Experience with multicast
• Train others on system maintenance duties
• Source code control systems, both use and administration (cvs, subversion, git)
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Gluster, Ceph Education A Bachelor’s degree in computer related discipline is desired but not mandatory. Candidate may substitute relevant work experience. Salary Range

$130K–$210K Benefits
Our Client offers a strong total compensation package built around flexibility and long-term security. It contributes an amount equal to 25% of annual salary into an Individual Benefits Account (IBA), which employees can use to cover health, dental, and vision premiums, out-of-pocket medical costs, childcare, and PTO; any unused balance at year-end is paid out as income the following January.
