Cloud Systems Engineer with Security Clearance

Shadowgate Partners is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer for our client, who for over 40 years, has been a leading provider of Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) and specialized communications systems to the Intelligence Community, with deep expertise across strategic and tactical missions. This is a fully funded position with the client serving as prime on the contract, available for immediate start. This role is **100% onsite** at the client's facility either in Fairfax, VA or Denver, CO.

Key Responsibilities - Build and maintain cloud-native systems supporting mission operations

• Readily adapt to evolving requirements; stay current on emerging technologies; help evaluate and implement new tools and platforms to enhance system capability Technical Requirements - Experience with Linux (Red Hat and CentOS preferred)
• Enterprise services — Active Directory, LDAP, DNS
• System security, hardening, and accreditation (e.g., DCID 6/3, ICD-503)
• Automated OS and cloud infrastructure deployment
• Cloud virtualization
• Configuration and administration of NAT, DNS, LDAP, NIS, NFS, iptables, FreeIPA
• System performance monitoring and tuning
• Design, execution, and monitoring of system backup plans
• Scripting and automation (Bash, csh, Perl, Ruby, Python, Expect)
• Automation of repetitive administrative tasks
• Foundational knowledge of switching, routing, IP addressing, and networking
• Experience with multicast
• Ability to train others on system maintenance procedures
• Source code control — use and administration (CVS, Subversion, Git)
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Gluster, Ceph Education Bachelor's degree in a computer-related discipline preferred but not mandatory; relevant work experience may be substituted.

Security Clearance TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph after starting in role.
