Job description

About Realytics
Realytics is an AI startup building Atlas, an AI business partner for independent cafés and restaurants. Atlas is built on 200M+ reviews of 7M US businesses and a 500M-point dataset of dishes and menu prices. It shows owners what their competitors are doing, how their prices compare, and what their customers actually say, so they can make better decisions without hiring a consultant.

We’re expanding into the US and building our go-to-market around people on the ground. In our offline pilots, 10–33% of owners engaged with Atlas after a personal approach, compared with 1–2% by email. That’s why our Hunters are at the centre of our US launch.

About the role
As a Field Sales Representative (“Hunter”), you’ll own a territory in your city and become the local face of Realytics for independent restaurants and cafés. Our first Hunters start in San Francisco and Eugene in November, and we’ll open more US cities soon after.

Our approach is care, not a hard sell. You won’t push products on anyone. You’ll bring owners something genuinely useful about their own business, listen to their problems, and show them how Atlas can help. An owner who says “no” today gets a new insight from you in two weeks.

How it works

  1. We pick the venues. Our data selects restaurants and cafés in your territory with enough competitors nearby and a strong insight to share.
  2. You deliver a letter first. You hand-deliver a printed letter to each venue, with an insight about the owner’s own business and a QR code into Atlas. Some letters also go out by mail and UPS, which we handle.
  3. You come back for a visit. You meet the owner or manager and find out what’s really on their mind: prices, competitors, reviews, slow hours.
  4. You demo Atlas on the spot. In about 30 minutes, you answer the owner’s own question in Atlas, live, using our library of tested questions.
  5. You keep caring for your clients. You revisit your venues regularly (about every two weeks), so owners keep getting value and stay with Atlas, and your commission keeps coming.

What you’ll do day to day

  • Hand-deliver printed insight letters to venues in your territory
  • Plan your route and visit venues for sales conversations
  • Have discovery conversations with owners and managers
  • Run short, personalised Atlas demos on the owner’s own questions
  • Log every step in our tracker: letter delivered, met the owner, demo, trial, paid, and the reason behind each “no”
  • Follow up with interested owners and revisit existing clients
  • Share what you hear in the field so we can improve the product and the pitch

Compensation
You earn at every step, and you keep earning from the clients you bring in.

  • Letter delivery: $2.50 per venue (typical pace ~50 venues a day)
  • Sales visit with a live demo (~30 min): $8 per venue (typical pace ~15 visits a day)
  • Closing a sale: $200 per client. You get $100 after the client’s first monthly payment and $100 more after their second.
  • Client retention: $10 every month per client, for as long as they keep their subscription.

Schedule

Flexible. You choose your hours and plan your own routes, so the role fits around classes or other commitments.

  • Legally authorised to work in the United States
  • Based in or near the city of your choice, able to visit venues in person
  • Comfortable walking into a business and starting a conversation with someone you don’t know
  • A good listener: curious, patient, and genuinely interested in how small businesses work
  • Resilient: you can hear “not now” without taking it personally, and come back two weeks later with something useful
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus in diverse neighbourhoods
  • Organised and reliable: you log your visits accurately and follow up on time
  • Experience in sales, hospitality, restaurants, retail, customer service or merchandising is a plus, but not required. Curiosity matters more than a sales background.
  • Pay for every letter you deliver and every demo you run, so you earn from day one
  • $200 for every client you close, plus $10 a month for as long as they stay. Recurring income with no cap.
  • Fully flexible schedule
  • Two-hour onboarding, a proven script and a library of tested Atlas questions
  • Field support: a Realytics team member works alongside Hunters on the ground
  • Real US B2B sales experience with business owners at a fast-growing AI startup
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools and data in the food and hospitality industry
  • Room to grow: we plan to open new cities with 10–15+ Hunters, and top performers can step up to lead teams in new territories
