The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks with precision and safety.
• Drive hostlers to strategically position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Stack, move, and organize containers according to operational demands and safety protocols.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate effectively with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Prior experience operating heavy machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• A strong commitment to safety, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays, with open availability.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to function effectively within a team environment.
