Zero Trust Architect | McLean, VA, United States | Hybrid
This employer is actively seeking a talented Zero Trust Architect to contribute to innovative cybersecurity solutions for the U.S. Government. The role offers a chance to make a significant impact by designing and building secure systems that defend against advanced cyber threats, while working with a team of experts on cutting-edge technologies.
The Role
• Design and architect Zero Trust (ZT) solutions, roadmaps, and capabilities aligned with industry standards like NIST 800-207 and DoD ZT Reference Architecture.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement methods to harden systems and reduce their attack surface.
• Lead technical solution development for complex government IT needs, translating requirements into secure and effective plans.
• Investigate new cybersecurity techniques and technologies, moving beyond legacy models to embrace industry advancements.
• Coordinate with a dynamic team of thought leaders and experts to select the optimal mix of tools and techniques.
• Provide alternatives and customized solutions to maintain a balance between security and mission needs in network design.
What You'll Need
• 10+ years of experience in IT operations or cybersecurity.
• 10+ years of experience leading technical solution development for large, complex organizations.
• Proven experience architecting ZT solutions, roadmaps, and capabilities.
• In-depth knowledge of the ZT technology ecosystem (e.g., ZTNA, SSE, SASE, IDP, IDS, DLP, SWG, EDR, MFA, C2C).
• Familiarity with leading Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) solutions and their role in a ZT ecosystem.
• Understanding of network technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, MPLS, satellite) and their integration into ZT cyber solutions.
• Secret clearance required.
