Job Description

Job Description

Cyber Quality Engineer

Location: Juno Beach, FL (Onshore)

Position Overview

The CDI program is consolidating cybersecurity data across seven Cyber Security domains – Data Protection, Vulnerability Management & SOC, Governance/Risk/Compliance (GRC), Identity & Access Management (IAM), Cyber Resiliency, Security Architecture & Engineering, and Strategy/Program Management & Performance – into a unified AWS Redshift data platform and a persona-based Power BI reporting layer.

This role is being created to own quality end to end: metric accuracy, persona-based access control, cross-domain consistency, and UAT defect closure – giving domain leaders confidence that what they see on each dashboard is correct and appropriately scoped to their role before go-live.

Key Responsibilities

Metric-Level Data Validation

  • Validate each of the new domain metrics against source-system data (Tanium, Tenable, Service-Now CMDB, Splunk, CrowdStrike, Proofpoint, and other integrated sources), confirming that Power BI''s calculated values match the definitions agreed in domain SME workshops.
  • Reconcile Gold-layer semantic view output against an independently derived sample calculation for a representative population of records per domain, before a metric is signed off for dashboard consumption.

Persona-Based Access Control (RLS) Validation

  • Validate row-level security rules for the Operations, Business, and Executive personas across all 7 domain dashboards and the Executive Rollup, confirming each persona sees only appropriately-scoped data.
  • Partner with the Architect to confirm the persona model is mapped to real Active Directory / security-group structures rather than a theoretical design, and to close out any gaps found during that mapping.

Cross-Domain Consistency & Regression Testing

  • Audit that metrics or dimensions shared across domain dashboards (e.g. Business Unit rollups) return consistent values regardless of which dashboard or persona view they are accessed from.
  • Execute full regression test passes after cross-domain navigation, filter, or drill-through changes land, to confirm no previously validated dashboard has regressed.

UAT Coordination & Defect Management

  • Coordinate UAT sessions per domain with the relevant domain stakeholders, and for the Executive Rollup with the Leadership office.
  • Triage, prioritize, and track defects to closure, with a target of zero open P1/P2 defects ahead of each domain''s formal governance sign-off.

Test Planning & Sequencing

  • Sequence validation work deliberately to manage the mid-program capacity peak – front-loading simpler metric-level checks earlier and reserving dedicated time primarily for RLS and cross-domain consistency testing as dashboards near completion.
  • Maintain test cases, RLS test matrices per persona/domain combination, and a defect log; contribute QA-derived acceptance criteria to the metric catalog published at program closeout.

Platform Transition Quality Support

  • Support data-quality validation during the Kyndryl-to-NextEra platform transition, particularly through the shadow/reverse-shadow support period, to confirm zero regression in data accuracy or refresh reliability during cutover.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of QA/testing experience on BI, data analytics, or cybersecurity reporting platforms.
  • Hands-on experience testing Power BI reports and datasets, including DAX measure validation and row-level security (RLS) testing.
  • Working SQL proficiency for source-to-target data validation; AWS Redshift experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience with Agile/SAFe QA practices – sprint-based test planning, UAT coordination, and structured defect triage.
  • Strong attention to detail and the organizational discipline to manage validation across multiple parallel domains and personas simultaneously without losing traceability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to cybersecurity or vulnerability-management data (CVEs, CVSS scoring, CISA KEV feeds, endpoint/scanner data).
  • Experience with test management tooling (Jira/Xray, Zephyr, TestRail, or equivalent).
  • ISTQB or an equivalent QA/testing certification.
  • Familiarity with AWS Glue-based ETL pipelines and Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) data architectures.
