Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Smart 3D (S3D) Administrator to manage, configure, and support Hexagon Smart 3D engineering design projects. The candidate will be responsible for 3D model administration, piping specifications, project configuration, database maintenance, deliverable generation, and coordination with engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and administer Smart 3D projects according to project and client standards.
• Manage piping specifications, catalogs, components, symbols, and piping support libraries.
• Configure piping isometrics, orthographic drawings, reports, and other engineering deliverables.
• Manage interference detection and clash reports to identify and resolve 3D model conflicts.
• Configure Material Take-Off (MTO), weight, and Center of Gravity (COG) reports.
• Support Global Workshare Configuration (GWC), database replication, and user permissions.
• Integrate Smart 3D with SmartPlant Review (SPR), Smart Materials, Spoolgen, Navisworks, and other engineering applications.
• Manage 3D model data, reference models, vendor data, and model publishing.
• Perform database maintenance, integrity checks, backups, and project administration.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues and maintain project deliverables.
• Provide Smart 3D user support, training, documentation, and weekly progress reports.
• Support automation and customization of Smart 3D administration tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of engineering design experience, including at least 5 years of Smart 3D / SRD administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Hexagon Smart 3D in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Engineering & Construction projects.
• Experience administering large Smart 3D projects with 20+ users.
• Hands-on experience with Global Workshare Configuration (GWC).
• Strong knowledge of piping specifications, catalogs, symbols, supports, and 3D model deliverables.
• Experience configuring piping isometrics, drawings, MTO reports, clash detection, and model review processes.
• Knowledge of SmartPlant Review, SmartPlant Foundation, Smart Materials, and related engineering applications.
• Familiarity with Spoolgen, TEKLA, SPIOP, Navisworks, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server is preferred.
• Experience integrating Smart 3D with other engineering tools such as SPPID, SPEL, and SPI is an advantage.
