Mid-Level Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with Security Clearance

Position Overview We are seeking a Mid-Level Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support a high-visibility national defense program. This role is ideal for a cloud professional with experience designing, implementing, and supporting cloud environments across enterprise-scale infrastructures. The successful candidate will help modernize and optimize cloud solutions, support infrastructure automation initiatives, implement cybersecurity best practices, and provide technical leadership in the migration and operation of cloud-based environments. This position offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical systems supporting national security objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions in public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Support cloud migration initiatives and assist with modernizing existing infrastructure and applications.
• Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies, platforms, and service providers based on organizational requirements.
• Ensure cloud environments are properly sized, scalable, and responsive to operational demands.
• Monitor cloud performance, capacity, and resource utilization to support business growth.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, technical teams, and business leaders to understand operational requirements and future growth plans.
• Implement and maintain cloud security controls consistent with cybersecurity best practices.
• Develop and support disaster recovery, failover, backup, and fault-tolerant architectures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable security, regulatory, and organizational standards.
• Build and maintain infrastructure automation solutions to streamline deployments and system updates.
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, optimization, and performance tuning of cloud infrastructure.
• Provide architectural guidance, technical recommendations, and roadmap support for cloud modernization initiatives.
• Partner with engineering and operations teams to successfully deploy and operationalize technology solutions. Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 1 year of directly related cloud infrastructure experience.
• Understanding of cloud service and delivery models, including: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS).
• Experience supporting enterprise operating systems and environments, including: Red Hat Enterprise, Linux (RHEL 7/8 or later), Windows Server 2019 or newer.
• Experience implementing cybersecurity best practices within enterprise environments.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, etc.).
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure, AWS, or cloud architecture certifications.
• Experience with cloud solution design and implementation.
• Knowledge of infrastructure automation and orchestration tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in: Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or related technical discipline.
