About the Internal Audit Internship
Ever wonder how a large company keeps its money, risk, and operations in check? This internship is built for accounting, information systems, and data-focused students who want to see it up close.
You’ll support real audit and compliance work, from testing controls and analyzing data to turning findings into clear takeaways. Plus, you’ll build hands-on skills in Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft Copilot that set you up for a career in accounting, audit, risk, compliance, or business analytics.

Test internal controls by reviewing documentation and tracing transactions
Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control assessments by organizing evidence and documenting testing
Analyze financial and business-process data in Excel and Power BI
Spot trends, exceptions, and potential control gaps
Document processes and controls, prepare audit workpapers, and summarize results
Support compliance and governance reviews
Use Microsoft Copilot and other AI tools to summarize information, analyze data, and draft documentation

What Makes Someone Successful
You’re curious, detail-oriented, and not afraid to ask questions. You own your work, care about getting it right, and like digging past the numbers to understand how things work, where risk might be hiding, and how to explain it clearly.
What Makes Someone Successful
Interns who thrive in this program ask questions early, take ownership of their work, and look for opportunities to contribute beyond their assigned projects. They're able to explain not only what they accomplished, but how they approached challenges and what they learned along the way.
