Job Description

TORQCOMMODITIES is an international physical commodities and agri-supply chain company managing vertically integrated sourcing, trading, shipping, and logistics operations across Asia, Africa, and Europe. Working across a complex operational environment, the business connects supply chains across regions and relies on strong internal processes to support its people and operations.

This role is an opportunity to contribute to a growing business by helping build a consistent, well-organized HR function. As HR Officer, you will support day-to-day people operations, help maintain a positive employee experience, and partner with stakeholders across the business to ensure HR processes are handled accurately, professionally, and with care.

Responsibilities

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle administration across the business.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation, and confidential personnel data.
  • Advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and workplace matters.
  • Coordinate performance reviews, training initiatives, and employee engagement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, internal policies, and HR best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree from a top tier 1 university in India.
  • Up to 2-3 years of HR experience, including support for recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle administration.
  • Experience coordinating performance reviews and training initiatives.
  • Experience supporting hiring managers, department heads, employees across the business, and senior leadership.
  • Business-fluent English for professional communication.
  • Eligible to work in India.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with payroll systems or Zoho People.
  • Knowledge of Indian labor law, statutory compliance, and payroll compliance.
  • Knowledge of employee documentation standards.
