A well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join its growing Leeds office. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality geotechnical and geoenvironmental solutions across the UK, this is an excellent opportunity to join a company that invests heavily in employee development and offers clear career progression.
You'll work on a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, commercial, infrastructure and industrial developments, taking projects from site investigation through to detailed geotechnical design.
The Geotechnical Engineer RoleAs a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Planning and supervising ground investigations.
- Logging soil and rock samples to current standards.
- Producing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
- Carrying out geotechnical analysis and foundation recommendations.
- Liaising with clients, contractors and design teams.
- Assisting with slope stability, retaining wall and foundation design.
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
- Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
- Experience within a UK geotechnical consultancy.
- Knowledge of UK ground investigation practices.
- Experience producing geotechnical reports.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
