Geotechnical Engineer

Location: LeedsSalary: £32,000 - £42,000 (depending on experience)

A well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join its growing Leeds office. You'll work on a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, commercial, infrastructure and industrial developments, taking projects from site investigation through to detailed geotechnical design.

The Geotechnical Engineer Role

As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and supervising ground investigations.
  • Logging soil and rock samples to current standards.
  • Producing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
  • Carrying out geotechnical analysis and foundation recommendations.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors and design teams.
  • Assisting with slope stability, retaining wall and foundation design.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Requirements
  • Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
  • Experience within a UK geotechnical consultancy.
  • Knowledge of UK ground investigation practices.
  • Experience producing geotechnical reports.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
