W2 Lead Java Backend Developer(Must Have 4 years as a lead)

Job Title - IT Software Engineer 5 (2x positions)  - Lead Java Backend Developer

Duration: 12 months

Location: Chicago, IL - Hybrid work model ( 2x a week) currently; eventually this could change to more days in office if needed.

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

•            As a java lead Engineer, you will contribute to design, development and deployment of Caterpillar’s state-of-the-art digital platform.

Education & Experience Required:

•            Bachelor’s degree or higher, in Computer science or Electrical engineering or related field is required

•            10+ years’ experience of designing and developing software applications in Java.

•            Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in leading Geographically disbursed teams.

Technical Skills

•            •               Strong Java 17

•            •               Backend development is a MUST

•            •               RESTful web services

•            •               AWS knowledge – IAM,Kinesis, DynamoDB, API stack, SQS, SNS, KMS

•            •               Slick – SQL queries

•            •               DevOps

•            •               High Availability and Reliable Solutions

•            •               Some architecture experience
