Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with 12+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD implementation. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in AWS or Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and modern deployment practices. This role requires close collaboration with development, QA, security, and infrastructure teams to build scalable, secure, and highly available systems.

This is an onsite W2 role in Austin, TX. Candidates must be willing to work onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application build, testing, deployment, and release automation.

• Manage cloud infrastructure and services across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Deploy, configure, and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Bicep/ARM templates.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational tasks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or cloud-native monitoring services.

• Implement security best practices, including IAM, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance controls.

• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, deployment, and production issues.

• Collaborate with developers and architects to improve application deployment strategies and operational efficiency.

• Implement high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity solutions.

• Manage source control, branching strategies, artifact repositories, and release management processes.

• Drive DevOps best practices, automation standards, reliability improvements, and technical mentoring across teams.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of overall IT experience, with substantial hands-on experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure automation.

• Strong experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Extensive experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or Bamboo.

• Hands-on expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.

• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools.

• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Experience with Linux/Unix administration, networking fundamentals, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and troubleshooting.

• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, alerting, and application performance management.

• Experience implementing cloud security, access controls, secrets management, and vulnerability management.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Helm, Argo CD, Flux, or other GitOps tools.

• Knowledge of service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.

• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

• Familiarity with DevSecOps, policy as code, and compliance frameworks.

• Experience with microservices, distributed systems, and production support.

• Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer.
