Senior Air-to-Air Modeling and Simulation Analyst | Laurel, MD, United States | Hybrid | $105,000 - $245,000 Annually

We are seeking a skilled Senior Air-to-Air Modeling and Simulation Analyst to join a leading national research and development organization that tackles critical defense, security, space, and science challenges. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about air combat systems to apply their expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

The Role

  • Analyze the effectiveness and employment of airborne systems in complex environments using simulation tools like AFSIM.
  • Develop, evaluate, and analyze tactics and concepts for advanced technologies including air platforms, sensors, countermeasures, and weapon systems.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of analysts and guide the analytical direction with senior engineers.
  • Present findings and analysis through briefings to both technical experts and key decision-makers.
  • Engage in independent research projects to foster creative solutions and initiative.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in mission-level modeling, simulation, and analysis within the air-to-air domain, utilizing tools such as AFSIM or Brawler.
  • Proficiency in quantitative analysis and the ability to rapidly grasp new concepts.
  • Strong scripting and programming skills in languages such as Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or JAVA.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting and communicate complex ideas clearly.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain the required security clearances (Secret and SAP level access).
