Internship in Automotive Radar Sensor Technology Development

Since its spin-off in September 2025 AUMOVIO continues the business of the former Continental group sector Automotive as an independent company. For the development of radar based ADAS sensors, we provide with an internship position for 4-6 months at our Riemerling location (near Munich) to be occupied as soon as possible. The intern will work full time with an international engineering team within the radar sersor technology group in order to develop solutions for advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS), e.g. emergency brake systems, adaptive cruise control, autonomous driving etc. The intern will learn the development processes of automotive radar sensor technologies with the design team. At the end the intern will have the in-depth practical knowledge of key design parameters of automotive radar as well as its different applications. 

Job description: 

• Investigation of radar sensors, specially frontends 
• Development of matlab based measurement  automation set up
• Carry out mmWave measurements, analysis  and  documentation
• Electromagnetic simulations of passive mmWave components 

You are wondering whether you are a good fit for the Internship – Manufacturing Technologies? Here are some key qualifications, we are looking for:

• Bachelor/master degree in electrical, communication, automotive or similar engineering 
• Basic knowledge in automotive radar systems and ADAS functions is preferred
• Experience in programming with matlab/C++ 
• Experience in measurement technologies, laboratory work, preferably mmWave technology 
• Capable of  working with MS-office, specially with Excel 
• Fluent in spoken and written English, basic German is preferred

• Working with self-initiatives 
• Strong communication skills, team spirit, analytical thinking, creativity and the ability to work independently
