Job Description

Job Number 8203 Standard Job Description Manages the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Oversees the synthesis of customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.

Directs the following activities: establishing functional and technical specifications and standards, solving hardware/software interface problems, defining input/output parameters, and ensuring integration of the entire system or subsystem. Manages the development and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations.

What You Will Be Doing As the Multi Domain Missile System (MDMS) Test Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of test engineers and overseeing the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems, and/or systems. You will also be responsible for managing the development of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a team of test engineers, including recruitment, selection, training, performance assessment, and career development
  • Partnering with Operations and the Factories to ensure test equipment adequately supports the program
  • Direct the execution of Test Equipment Design, Integration, Verfication, and Validation
  • Drive test equipment yield improvements
  • Develop Basis of Estimates (BOE) and support proposal activity

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years experience as a Manager, Associate Manager, Technical Lead, or Lead Engineer
  • 5 years minimum experience working in Test Engineering
  • Previous Experience supporting budget and proposal activities
  • Ability to obtain Secret Clearance Desired Skills
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience testing electrical or electronic assemblies
  • Experience with Cost Account Management (CAM) / Basis of Estimate (BOE)
  • Experience developing test systems with LabVIEW and TestStand
  • Knowlege of the Hellfire and JAGM missile systems
  • Experience supporting test equipment in a production environment Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.   • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
